Would you mind giving us a brief insight into what your show is?

We are a five-piece Scottish folk and roots crossover band.  Our music draws heavily from Gaelic and Scots culture.  Many of our songs and ancient melodies are underpinned by modern grooves and cascading harmonic lines.  In our live show we focus on the connection between ourselves and the audience.  Piping, singing , storytelling and dancing all find a place in the show.

Tell us about the creative team and process involved?

Creatively, we are a band of equals.  Everybody brings their own music and ideas to the table – From there we enjoy collaborating and developing each of those ideas together as a team.  At various points in the music,  one player might feature but we are always mixing it up and striving to create an entertaining flow in our live performance.

How does it feel coming to the Fringe?

We are thrilled to be returning to The Fringe.  We are big fans of the event both as performers and as audience members – it is a world-class festival, and we will bring all of our energy to these shows!

There are over 3,000 shows at the Fringe. So, what sets your show apart?

Our show celebrates Scottish history and culture but,  it also embraces progress and togetherness on a larger scale. We have been very fortunate to share our music and make friends around the world. These experiences have shaped our views and feelings in a way that we celebrate through music,  song and dance.

Is there anything specific you’re hoping the audience can take away?

We like to see audiences walk away from our show with big smiles but also, we hope they leave feeling that they have been part of the night.  Our performance ranges from  gentle and intimate right up to foot-stomping climactic energy.  There will be raised heart rates by the end of the night but also a considered emotional journey along the way

Your ideal audience is in attendance, who’s watching? Or more importantly – who isn’t there…

We are very open and embracing as a band.  It would be nice to think that anybody from any walk of life would enjoy our show.  Everyone is welcome!
