“In every new beginning there is magic”

Suzanna Rosenthal Productions presents LOLA: A Flamenco Love Story. Stepping into LOLA: A Flamenco Love Story is like being wrapped in a swirl of rhythms, vivid emotion and devotion to the Spanish culture. From the very first note, this is a performance that radiates passion.

The musicality and vocal talent of the singers transports the audience to the bright colours of Spain, while their vocal and enthusiastic encouragement of the dancers draws the audience in and brings the piece to life. Their energy propels the piece forward, framing the emotive movement with warmth and strength.

LOLA takes the audience on an emotional journey of loss and love and searching for belonging. Emotional moments are interspersed with high energy dance performances, with unbelievably fast footwork. What lingers longest is the sense that LOLA is a love letter, a tribute to life after loss and to the richness of Spanish heritage.
It feels authentic and born of lived experience. Costumes burst with colour, matching the vibrancy of the performance. Translations aid the audience in following the story of Lola’s journey, but it is in observing how the performers move and interact that the audience gain the most understanding.

You’re drawn in not just by the skill of the dancers, singers and musicians, but by how the whole production brings meaning into every gesture and note. A heart-stopping celebration of resilience and beauty. LOLA doesn’t just tell a story; it invites you into the heart of Flamenco.
